Tomtom one with existing maps

I have just bought a TT one unit, to replace a PDA spagetti system I did have.
I have stopped using and will never use again the PDA, in favor of the ONE.
My quuestion is.... Is it possible to use the Maps I have got already of europe on my new ONE? I have looked into the ONE disk, but this only allows removal of maps. I have backed up the TT one software onto a 1Gb card and this works fine. I have tried for evaluation copying the map folders to the 1Gb card, but TT One won't see the maps.
Any advice???

If you have The V5 maps from your PDA it should work no problem on a One (Although you will need an activation code to get them to work)

so as long as you only activated your V5 maps on 1 PDA and it was more than 7 days ago you will still be able to generate another code thru the TomTom code website, and use it on your One

This is exactly what I did when I bought my One I sold off the map SD that come with it still unused and sealed along with its activation card,

I then deleted TomTomk from my PDA, and used the 2nd Activation to install TT5 UK & Europe & USa on my One,

The One had no problem reading the Map folders that were already on the SD card, copied over straight from the SD in the PDA, it just had to be activated when I selected the map

So if you cannot see them either its an older version than TT5 or they are not named correctly

Try installing from your original CDs again to the !gb card which is working with your One and see if that helps rather than just copying the folders over.
