TT5 US Map Pack Still weeks away!!!

I ordered my upgrades (UK& Europe & US Map Packs on 3rd June), The UK& Europe Packs finally arrived last week, but as there was no sign of the US Map Packs shipping (Still Authorised Warehouse!) I have been trying to get firm information from TomTom on what is happening

All the normal there are many orders to ship etc emails, but now as it is a month from the order I have finally got an answer

From TomTom Support

"I believe the US/Canada upgrades will be coming out very soon. We are currently awaiting completion and testing of the US/Canada Map pack in the software development department. The release is therefore still tentative but we recently received details that it would be available to customers in the next few weeks"

How can a company be taking payment and orders for a product that is not only not available to ship, but in thier own words is still in development

TomTom started taking upgrade orders & PAYMENT from European customers for this product on the 1st June, Total Joke of a service

If they are as up to date as the UK TT5 maps then why worry, just use TT2004USA maps as there probably won't be much difference.

Not only have they taken payment. They have also BLOCKED the product code for TT3 at the moment they received the order (see my post "Are TomTom completely crazy?"). That means that I have NO TomTom to use on my trip to the USA next week. I have payed for both TT2 USA, TT3 USA and TT4 USA, and I am not able to use any of them. This is ILLEGAL from TomTom to do that, and they are not willing to help at all.
By the way, they told me that TT5 USA will be out in about 4 weeks...

Mmmmm......I have had the same problem also.
Have been using TT for some time now and was the proud owner of a TTGO, TTN3 UK maps and most latterly TTN3 USA maps.
I bought TTN3 US early May and just 4 weeks later they invited me to upgrade to TTN5 US and UK.
My major gripe with them was that I had only had the US maps 4 weeks before they said the new maps were available. Surely they knew they going to launch the new maps B4 I spent my cash. Also if I upgrade my TTN3 UK then this renders the US maps in operable Needless to say I tried to complain and get a discount or freebie out them.........I may have well shoved my head in a cooker the good that did.....they really don`t seem t care or be capable of answering any queries you raise.
However the latest is also that they now saying that TTN5 US maps are not available YET.....so I agree they seem to want your cash but not give you the product.......con artists I think is the terminology.
