I am struggling to setup my Tom Tom Wireless settings. Could someone help please.
I have a Motorola V600 which is setup for WAP and WAP GPRS.
I am on the Tesco Pay As You Go network.
Tom Tom does not list Tesco as an option during the wizard.
Manual settings I enter:
APN : prepay.tesco-mobile.com
User : tescowap
Password : password
IP : 193.113.200.195 (I have also tried 193.113.200.195:9201 in case the port was required)
DNS : Automatic (I have also tried leaving blank)
Dial : Not a clue what to put here!
Login Script : Not a clue what to put here!
Leaving Dial and Login Script blank and the tom tom go complains that is not configured correctly.
So if there is anyone out there with any ideas I would appreciate it.
Thanks. |

OK. I maybe answering my own question here. Looking on the TomTom traffic thread it is mentioned that it will only work with "GPRS Internet" not "GPRS WAP".
Now, I don't claim to know anything much about these technologies and how they differ, but could this be the cause of my problem? I have GPRS WAP setup, but no GPRS Internet. Does anyone know if the Motorola V600 supports this mode, and if so how I would set it up? |

Tesco use the o2 network. The settings for the gprs wap are different between the two. I have already tried selecting o2 and does not work. |

That's correct, you must have GPRS Internet Service, it will not work with GPRS WAP. Few PAYG providers have the GPRS Internet option, Orange are the only one I know of that do. _________________ Darren Griffin |
