I've copied the ov2 and bmp files over to the map (GB) directory but am unable to enable them in the POI directory because they do not appear to be there to enable, any ideas?
Full Details - I downloaded the zip file, unzipped it and copied over the ov2 and bmp files into the GB map directory on the memory card of my 6600. I can see they are there. But when I go into the enable/disable POI folder there is no speed camera icon/title in there to enable. Are other files meant to be copied over also? Do you need to run an .exe or something?
I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks. |

how did you transfer? if you used bluetooth without using the nokia software it doesn't work,
i transfer by a card reader, bit of a pain but always works. |

I copied them over via IR using the nokia software that came with the phone.
To enable them I go into the change preferences option, then go into maintain POI, then into enable/disable POI and I cannot see any speed camera category. Is this the way to enable them as a POI?
I've tried repeating the process also but still not working. |

You must use a card reader to copy the POI files.
The Nokia PC suite converts the POI files to wrong format which is why you cannot see them. |

Well that's pretty crap isn't it, looks like I'll have to buy a card reader then.
Anyone know where to get one cheap? (preferably not Ebay) |

Thanks for all the help. I've ordered the card reader and hopefully I will have some success when it arrives.
Has anyone got the mobile 5 upgrade yet? I know there were some problems with shipping but I'd be interested to find out if this has been sorted and if it's worth the dosh? |

Hey,
There is an option within Nokia PC Suite to set the program NOT to convert files sent across to another type.
This is especially useful when sending MP3's to the phone & other ringtones.

I can understand why PC Suite might convert the file but cannot understand why sending them by bluetooth does not work. I can only guess that the message system is doing the conversion but to be honest i do not see why it should. I will try it when i get the database myself as i am pretty curious |
