I have two separate GPS systems in my car, a PDA navigation system (Palm Tungsten T3 with Mapsonic software) that works with a Bluetooth GPS receiver, and an Origin B2 speed camera warning system.

Yesterday as I was driving home from work, Mapsonic seemed to have lost the plot, and was showing me to be on roads I wasn't on. I have seen Mapsonic do this before, and usually it sorts itself out after a few minutes. Soon after that my Origin started warning me about cameras that didn't exist, and kept on behaving strangely until I popped it out of the cradle. As Mapsonic didn't recover I quit the software and restarted it. After that Mapsonic worked normally. But for the rest of the journey home the Origin didn't work properly. It's speed didn't 'settle' to zero when the car was stationary, and it failed to warn me of cameras that I drive past every day and it normally warns me of. This morning the Origin was working normally again.

It seems very strange that two GPS systems should malfunction at the same time like that, and I wonder whether there was a glytch with the satellite system that caused it (I mean the satellites in the sky, and the computers that they work with). Presumably, even they are not 100% reliable.

Did anyown else notice anything funny with their GPS at about 5:30pm on 30th June?

you may also have driven in front or behind a source of radiation (like a mobile tv station or such) that may have affected reception. Or maybe someone took his new GPS spammer for a ride.
