TTM 5 and 6680 Compatibility

Hi all,

Im a stranger to this section as im normally on the Pocket pc section with my navman jacket but here goes anyway

I have recently become the proud owner of a Nokia 6680 Mobile phone and was wondering if someone could verify for me whether TTM5 will work on this smartphone I do actually have a release of TTM5 on MMC (borrowed from a friend to test on my 6680) although i dont have a bluetooth GPS yet (he forgot to lend me his).

Can anyone veryify what normally happens when you run TTM5 without the GPS connected as at the moment mine just crashes out within seconds of selecting from menu. It my intentention to buy the full package from Tomtom once i can see it works on this phone so would really appreciate any input.

I get no message about no gps connected or even a "dont be silly this belongs to someone else kinda message" which i would be happy with as it would kinda show it works.

welcome stranger,

ttm5 should still start ok without a gps receiver turned on,

however the 6680 is not listed as being a compatable phone with ttm5 so it may not work,

also ttm5 is available in different versions, for different mobile phone systems as in symbian 60 etc, so your friends may not even be nokia compatable.

someone may say they have got it working though on the 6680

Although TOmTom doesn't list the 6680 for TTM5, people appear to have it working :D

i'd just like to confirm that tt5 DOES work with the 6680 - I upgraded from a 6600 yesterday and was worried that it wouldn't.
