|
|
Paid a visit to http://www.inkino.co.uk today and noticed that they appear to have the TTG 300/500/700 maps of the USA available at £119.95.
I gave them a ring and was assured that these were indeed the latest maps and that they had them in stock. I've placed an order and the SD card should be here Tuesday.
I will report back when they arrive.

With the USA maps do you get the option to navigate to Zip codes in place of our postcodes or do you have to enter the address. |

Hi Bubbles
Yep - I checked the zip code navigation - seems to work.
Can't wait for October to come now so I can take it with me and hit the highways! |

Could you do me a great service and answer a couple of questions please?
1) Do they definately cover door to door navigation via post/zip code aka the UK maps? So could I type in the zip code of my hotel for example?
2) Is all of the USA covered?
Thanks, I would be very grateful! I phoned the guy at inkino, but he didnt know. |

No Probs...
OK here's what I've tried out. I set the destination by post code and I punched in a zip code that I know in Florida. It found it no problem. I then clicked next and it then wanted the street and house number.
On the second point - yes it definitely is the whole of the USA. The maps come on a 1Gb SD card and just about fill it! The map files are all as one and not State by State as the CDs used to be.
Hope this helps

You can enter the ZIP code again at that prompt, and will be guided to the center of that zip code area (mostly the post office) _________________ Lutz

Thanks very much for that, sounds like they are just the same as the UK maps then. Think I will get one for the trip to Florida in July!!!
Thanks again! |
