Hi yet another newbie here....
I have just downloaded CheckPOInt and installed it on my Dell Axim X30. It asks me for a validation code, which i have, BUT... my Axim is not connected to the net so the validation fails. Is there anyway of activating it without connecting to the net? My Axim does not have any modem or wireless network connection, its just the bog standard one as can be found here... DELL.
Cheers
Oh yer i forgot to mention am running TomTom Nav3 (with the 3.07 patch applied) |

Does the Dell not run Windows Mobile 2003, because if it does then it will connect to the internet OK.
Connect your Dell via ActiveSync, on the ActiveSync menu Tools - Options - Rules, just make sure that Pass Through is set to The Internet.
Make a connection to the internet the usual way, you don't need your main pc browser open, but your Dell should then work OK.
If you download the poi files yourself, making sure that they are in .ov2 file format you can just drop them into your Great Britain map folder(presuming this is for TomTom3) on your storage card and then just configure CheckPOInt, no to sync. |

Cheers mate. I had done evrything you have explained once before and could never connect. I have unistalled CheckPOInt and also updated my version of mobile 2003 (patch R101483) and it appears to be able to connect to the net now. |
