Bluemedia BM 6300 probs

My parents have just bought themselves a couple of these (from makro).

I've got a couple of problems:

1) The machines constantly crash - like every hour or so. This requires a hard reset with subsequent loss of settings and the automated software reinstall.

2) One of them doesn't give the speed camera alerts. Settings on both are identical, and I've followed the instructions on the seperate sheet to activate audible warnings.

Anyone know how to get around these?

Or do these machines need to go back, or to fleabay?
