|
|
I have tried in vain to follow all the intructions found on this site but nothing seems to be working for me.
I first downloaded the program that allows you to edit the DATA.CHK file and add your own sounds. This didn't work.
I then decided to download the already made DATA.CHK file from this site and replace the original one. Again, when I reinserted my CF card, the same warning sounds were there.
I know I'm being stupid. Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong.
I am replacing the CHK file in the tomtom directory. I assume this is the correct one? |

I think you're probably having the same problem I did...
You need to rename the original first which you will find in 'program files' then 'navigator' in there you will see the data.chk file you need to rename, then just copy the other file over and rename it 'data.chk'.
Hope it works coz it did for me. |

I thought people would have problems... On the website it tells you to look somewhere completely different. |

You seem have solved the problem I have with custonising sounds but I only have the end of the messages here. Where did you get the program for editing data.chk? or the file that was already prepared? |

I can't remember where I got it but I have uploaded a copy of it for you.
You will also need something to convert WAV files to OGG files first though.
You can find the program here> |

OOPS, sorry. I messed up the URL and these forums don't allow you to edit your message.
Click on the garbled mess though and it will still work. |
