best sd memory card

hi all ,please can any one give me some advice on which brand of sd memory card is best,seems to have read lots of negatives about sandisk, although i have used this brand for mp3s ? .

I`m running tt5 on an XDA2s and have currently got it running on the original tom tom sd card but surely there wont be enough room to put all the extras(poi`s)on it .have downloaded the tom tom safety camera site on to it(not impressed,very patchy coverage),but what is a good size card to choose.
it also may sound a daft question (im a novice)but would it be possible to load some songs on to a larger sized card and be able to hear them (i understand that i would probably have to turn tt5 voice off?, but would it be possible) many thanks justustwo1965
