if it's possible I'd purchase TTN5 for the map and carry on using TTN3. I've done this is the HP Pack. TTN3 with checkpoint/ ukpostcode is perfect- just needs newer maps.
thanks |

Well... there was a rumor that tt3 maps could be used with tt5, simply by editing the map .pna file using a text editor....
this involved changing the three digit number of the map to start with 5 instead of 3, therefore the reverse may also be true... change the 5 to a 3 ! |

I heard you could use TTN4 (Palm or TomTom go) maps with TTN3 (PockepPC), but have never made it work, so if you CAN make TTN 5 maps work with TTN3 I'd like to know how. Also people often talk about getting a post code update to work with TTN3, is this the file that came with the TTN5 upgrade CDs (installs as ZIPs)?
Instructions to make this work would be excellent, I know it's not the most correct thing to do, but I have actually paid for both TTN3 and TTN5, but as TTN5 is rubbish (too buggy), the maps may offer some compensation until TomTom release a major fix!
Regards
