As a complete newbie to this GPS stuff I need to ask one question before I can set off on my trip of discovery.
I have a XDA 11s which I would like to use on my motorbike
I also have a laptop(Windows XP) which I would like to use in my Campervan
Is it possible to purchase one "Set" of software that can be used on both systems?
If so are there any recommendations for use within the UK mainly, with good coverage of "Green lane" type roads.
Thanks in advance,

Eh? Garmin can do that as well. My GPS10 came with Que software for the PPC and nRoute software for the laptop. You are tied to a Garmin receiver though, and I don't think that the 'green lane' data is that great. _________________ Tim |

Why use a PC at all? The XDA will work happily for both requirements. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hey, there's nothing like a 15" screen laptop. Well, maybe a 17" widescreen. :D _________________ Tim |

Which is a major distraction and offers little real benefit over a PDA system especially when you consider that there are no laptop based solutions that are anywhere near as useful as a decent PDA solution. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The reason for using the laptop is that it will also be catering for the entertainment needs for the kids, MP3's DVD's etc and its handy to have to dump your photos onto from a digital camera.
So I thought if its already coming along let's make it work for its supper!

In that case get a copy of InfoMap Navigator, it's under £50 and a reasonable PC solution with voice etc. Reviewed here. _________________ Darren Griffin |
