Greetings,
Sudden outbreak of sunshine last week and I found the 510 difficult to read. Increased the brigtness but found the control would not go completely across the screen, the last 3 blobs remained at red. Is this common to all 510s?
regards. |

It does'nt do that on the three units I've seen, a quick phone to navman should sort it out. _________________ 2 x ICN-510 units now, 1 USA Unit and 1 UK Unit. Both working great and set up to perfection.

My brand new 510 does the same thing--the last three brightness bars turn red but do not seem to increase the brightness level at all. The unit is only 2 days old and has the SP1 patch installed, it's giving my Garmin 2610 a run for the Money!!!
Regards,

Muine has the last 3 bars in red. There was another thread about this here a little while ago and I understand from that, going into the red doesn't do much to increase brightness yet increases power consumption and makes the unit run hotter.
I stop with mine outside the red. Granted, it can be difficult to read in bright sun although experimenting with adjusting the bracket can help a bit. |
