Can someone who has had longer than me to learn how to work TT5 please help me with planning an itinerary when not connected to a GPS receiver - something which I did a lot with TT3 before starting journeys.

I have discovered how to enter destinations and waypoints under Itinerary and save the itinerary for future use. However, without being connected to GPS I have not discovered how to run the route and tweak it if necessary.

Conversely, in Advanced Planning I can set start and destination and add other points I want to pass via, and I am able to run that without the GPS. However, in that mode, I can find no way of saving the route when it meets my requirements.

What I want is something that combines the ability to test a route with the ability to store it for future use. Has anyone cracked this please?

Robin

I don't know if TTN5 works exactly as the GO, but when I exit Itinerary, I'm asked 'Navigate there now?' I respond 'Yes' and when the Route has been calculated I have a choice of 'Done' and 'Route'.

If I select Route, I can then browse the Route in several ways.

I don't if that helps.

With TT5 you get the same option - Navigate there now? If you say No you leave the Itinerary. If you say Yes it shows your destination and there is a flashing message saying Waiting for a valid GPS signal. The only way out is to click Cancel, then you also leave Itinerary!
