I've just upgraded to Navigator 5 on my XDAIIi so no more using the brilliant UKPostcodes program since it can't run on this combo. No prob, thought I, Nav5 comes with postcode support. Icon for postcodes is there subbed to Navigate to and map searching, but it's the same old 5-characters only that Nav 3 offered. I've got the PLUS pack (already had traffic so it was easy to enable) but I've tried EVERYTHING (except the right thing!). I now have NO postcode support at all which is a b***r since I rely on it every day. Any thoughts?

On your storage card do you have a 'ZIP' folder and a 'TOMTOM' folder?

Storage card has (among many others) folders called: zip, zip tools, tomtom navigator, tomtom voice (various) and great_britain_map. The zip folder contains a file called Great_Britain.Postal, size 8.41MB.

Create a folder in the root of your storage card named 'TOMTOM' (without the quotes). Soft reset and test.

Even before the soft reset (I couldn't resist taking a peep) there they were... 7 character postcodes! I thank you beyond words - and wonder why the heck TT didn't create it in the first place? And while I have a genius on hand, is it just me or do others find the TomTom website unbelievably unhelpful, difficult to use and generally `nul points'?

Your thoughts re. TomTom's website are common, it's a mess. Glad to hear your issue has been resolved though Smile
