Sad This sucks!!

I just got the new Bluetooth pack after getting rid of the old v3 one a few weeks ago. Found that it comes with only a car charger which is of little use to me - I want a mains charger! Worse than that I have a the TomTom cradle on order with the connection on the side for the RJ11 charging lead and this new unit does not come with that!

Very of right now! If my unit goes flat whilst out I will need to unplug my Ipaq to charge the bluddy thing! Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

instead of plugging it into the 3 pin mains electric socket you have in your car! Laughing

you must have one hell of an extention lead!

As it happens I do have a main convertor for the car though never use it (Good for Microwave when camping ;o) )

Some folk will probably appreciated the fact you now get a ciggaret charger lead instead of a mains charger but I for one am not. What makes it worse though is the lack of the RJ11 connection lead for use with the TomTom cradle . :x

tomtom do appear to be on a roll when it comes to upsetting existing customers at the moment.

I got a cheap as chips bt gps unit on ebay and even that came with house and car chargers so there really is no excuse for this.

I would have gone for one of the other Sirf units but wanted to be able to use my existing charger lead and cradle with it.

Well mains charger prob sorted - same jack size and voltage and current as Ipaq mains charger - 5v, 2a.

jack size is perhaps a shade under 1/4 mm different but it works and charging at mo.

now back to my bigger problem of cradle connection

Even with a perfect invertor, a typical microwave (800W) would draw about 65A from a car battery! Some thick leads needed there.
