Problems With TomTom Go 700

Just bought a tomtom go 700 and I am having problems making it work hands free with my samsung e720. I have tried it with the samsung d500 and a nokia 6310i and it works no problem. When I try to pair with the samsung e720 I get an error message saying "error occurred while checking phone features". Can anyone help and is anyone else getting these problems with some phone types?
