TT5 and Itinery function

The Itinery function in TT3 was very good for setting up and planning routes that you want to follow, but in TT5 the function seems much less evolved - for example you cannot "Plan" the route as you could with TT3, and cannot get very far at all without the GPS receiver connected - has anyone played with this fuction yet, and found a way to plan a route using waypoints at the desktop.....??

Firstly, it's called Itinerary.

The format is pretty simple, so you could plan a route with MapPoint or autoRoute and then create the ITN file and transfer it to the PDA.

Unfortunately the Itinerary does not support route optimisation - something that competitors do with ease (CoPilot, Mapopolis)

Having to connect a GPS is a real bug, and hopefully will be corrected in the next release.

Thanks, just wondered if I was missing something.

It doesn't really matter what it is called, it is no use in it's current format if you can't plan/check a route without the GPS connected.
