I`ve just bought a Polstar PBT111 to go with my M2000 pda phone and when i first fired up everything worked fine and they were on speaking terms, when i next went to use them they totally ignored each other and no matter what i do they just won`t recognise the other`s existence. Anyone got any ideas or can someone tell me what the settings should be. thanks in advance, Dennis. |

give the receiver a good whack (ie take out the batteries and let it sit for a while) or do a factory reset. That did help with mine. Then BT implementation on the Polstar receiver seems to be a bit flaky _________________ Lutz

Excellent question. This beast has a Sony chipset so you need a special tool for that. On your CD there should be a program called "PDATester" and probably a PC version too. You can't do a factory restart but at least a cold start with that one. _________________ Lutz

I didn`t get a cd with the receiver and the seller is not answering emails, teach me to buy off ebay, i`ve downloaded pdatester but with no instructions i`m lost. I`ve no idea what com port or any other settings should be. In bluetooth manager when i doubleclick on the polstar:spp slave icon and click on connect i get --- unable to establish a connection, please make sure the device is enabled and in range, also verify that the rquested service is available. |

Hi,
Did you get it sorted?
I've also got an Orange SPV M2000 and I ordered one of those GPS yesterday, probably from the same ebay seller - he should be shipping it today.
Thanks

Hi Ian, the answer is no, it is nothing to do with the gps, the problem as far as i can see is with the M2000 and getting it to work with bluetooth. I can get the receiver to work with my laptop.

Hi,
Ah, ok.
Have you tried upgrading to the later rom versions around at xda-developers.com with the latest bluetooth stuff (3900).

Hi,
I upgraded to 1.40 the other day and everything seems generally smoother and slicker.
