A word of warning before folks rush out to purchase upgrades to the Palm version of TomTom Navigator 5 - It's not compatible!
The only time you will find this out is when having purchased the product, and tried and failed for some hours to make a connection you finally get a mail back from TomTom support saying:
Quote: | Traffic is not possible to use with a Palm device.
PALM do not support 2 Bluetooth connections.
Our product do not have the limitation - Palm devices has.
PALM users should know only 1 Bluetooth connection is supported.

Nice of them to advise users in advance on the web site, or in other marketing material.
Be warned !!! |

Afraid so. I have a LifeDrive connected to a Globalsat BT338 mouse. When I try to connect for Traffic I get a serial port error on Bluetooth, as the port is already in use. Palm can use BT and Wifi at the same time, why not 2 active BT connections...? |

Because the Lifedrive uses Bluetooth v1.1 which only allows one BT device to be active at a time. I have the same problem with the Treo, I can't use the BT GPS reciever and my BT headset at the same time. BT v1.2 allows more than one connection and it may be possible for Palm to release a patch which updates our devices to that version. |
