hi,
i was wondering what sort of area you would be able to get on a 128 mb card for the streetpilot, i.e one city, one county or more? any comments on this would be greatly apriciated thanyou

No, you'll get much more than that. We're currently reviewing a StreetPilot III, I'll need to check but I believe I managed to get the whole of the UK onto the 128mb card excluding Ireland as this tipped it over the edge. |

wow that is alot, i have not got one yet but like most people i have been looking at buying one in the states dollars for pounds or less, now i know the base map is not an issue especially if you have the whole of the uk one one chip, but is it possible to get the right Cd for england i belive that it is the city navigator cd that is required as opposed to the standard metroguide, something to do with the autorouting? when i looked on garmins site they had a list price of $600!! can anybody shed any light? _________________ jmerrix |

City Navigator certainly would be the one to get. MetroGuide is primarily for the handheld receivers. |

Ok is there any way of getting it for a normal price, $600 that garmin said on their website seems outragous or are they just trying to stop people like mebuying it in the states _________________ jmerrix |

The only way would be to purchase one second hand. The Street Pilot III retails for £850 in the UK. |
