Got TomTom 5 today, installed it on my iPAQ rz1710 (which was running TT3 fine with the Fortuna clipon) and guess what, it won't connect to my clip on now. Anyone any idears...? |

Your not alone, this has happened to loads of people on here, i'm the same, still can't connect. It's worked for some on some pda's but not on others.

try the following, switch clip on to xt mode, and then set up tomtom using other cable gps connection, 38400 baud and then your bluetooth serial port number (1940 is com 5 but it varies, use the same as you did with tomtom 3)
I couldnt get tomtom 5 prog to see com port 5 so I re installed ver 3 and installed 5 over it and it found it, the next prob I had was the icon was spinning but it was saying no gps device so after thinking it over I swopped modes and hey presto it works

thanks for the tip , i have a 2210 and fortuna clipon and this worked straight away using com 8, but any ideas on not using xt mode? |

very odd. this worked for me. switch it to xt, pick up a signal, then switch back. now its fully functional!!
