Hi just got TomTom 5 installed on my MDA III along with the BT-388 as my bluetooth GPS.

One major problem the GPS doesnt seem to want to connect/find a signal.

Please go easy im a bit of a techniphobe! 8O

Bluetooth manager seems to pick it up after I search for it manually, I can also pair up the device. However when I go to GPS info screen nothing happens. Which COM should I be connecting to? Should I hit start gps everytime? Coldstart? What about the other features such as VTG/WAAS/ or powersave, should I be highlighting any of those? What rate should I be setting it at, 38400? Finally how long should I wait between making a change and seeing something happen?

Sorry for the numerous questions but am busting my brains out here Sad

Thanks

I use anO2XDAIIs with the following settings NMEA 0183v2 Bluetooth, with the port set to Bluetooth Serial Port COM6, you may need to change either setting as the devices are different but give it a try you wont break it unless in frustration it goes out the window, out of interest when you get it working does it work with a bluetooth headset at the same time? - I am having fun getting both units to work they are fine on their own with different software loads but not together - I am sure you will get there in the end then load up POI and speed cams to really get the most - good luck - mike
