We have just completed the review of the Magellan Meridian Marine handheld receiver. This is a very smart, light and practical handheld GPS Receiver.
The full review can be read here |

Have had mine for about two years and I there are two points I would like to mention to anyone buying one.
First, there is no where to attact a strap, which is a major oversight if you are considering sailing with one.
Secondly it tends to crash if you download large maps to it with mapsend, and the only way to get it working again is to remove the batteries, not something you want to consider while driving up a motorway.
Otherwise, can't fault its performance. |

The strap is definately an oversight, especially for rough and choppy seas. I'd check that you have the latest firmware installed for the Meridian as this has resolved a lot of problems with DataSend in the past. |
