I recently purchased a tom tom go 300,the problem i am having is the unit will not recognise any other sd card i put into the go,apart from the standard one which came with the go.I have trawled through the numerous posts but can find no answer to my problem!
What i failed to do was note down the device code when i first used the unit.It was purchased from Dixons, how do i retrieve this device code to enable me to get the activation code for the unit,to enable me to use a bigger sd card in the go.I have the product card which came with it.Any help will be much appreciated. |

If you goto Change Preferences, tap the Arrow Head several times until you come to Show Version, the Device No. is the 1st line.
As to the problems with the SD card have a read of this thread to see if it will help. _________________ Richard

If you need to put the activation code into the machine, it will ask you. Otherwise it should just work.
It sounds as if you have a faulty or wrong type of card. Do you have an Secure Digital (SD) card? If so, the GO should see it and you could, perhaps, reformat it (FAT32) and use it.
Check the label on the card, it could be that you have an MMC card (Multimedia card which looks the same and will fit, but it won't work. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)
