Hello everybody, this is my first mesage. I have browsed through teh forum to try to get an answer before bothering people, but I couldnt find it
I have a HP 2210 with Tomtom 3.1 and maps from spain and Germany installed.
I am going on holidays to Florida and I have been given a copy of teh map there, no installation program but only the map for tom tom version 3
I have copied the map in teh SD card but the software will not find/ recognise the existence, ie when i ask for switching to anothwr map it does not find the florida one.
Anyway to make it work
thanks in advance

Hi there. You don't simply "get given" these maps. You need to purchase them, and with that comes a product and activation key.
Most probably the maps you have are for version 4 and therefore not recognised by TTN3. _________________ Lutz

TomTom 3.1? Sounds like the entire thing is pirated? |

my question is whether a map can be installed without the installation program ie copying the map file in the sd card, and some how make the application see that is there and use it

If you got the maps legally, you would have an installation CD and an activation code for them. If you are lokking to use the maps without having the legal right to do so, this forum is not the place to ask how. _________________ Tim |
