Hi, Im another complete beginner. I know very little about Global positioning. I already have a IPAQ1940 pda and I would now like GPRS mainly just as a toy but it it might also be useful when driving. So can anyone recommend anything to me? I presume I need :
a)GPRS receiver (prefably bluetooth since I dont want my SD slot being taken up as I will need memory in there to hold the software
b)SOme kind of mapping software - TomTom Navigator i think is what ive seen else where on the net.

SO provding the above is correct (if not please correct me) what is the cheapest bluetooth receiver i can get? (baring in mind im only really getting it as a gadget i dont want to spend too much!)
And as for the software ive seen a load of sites that sell tomtom navigator for anything between £60 and £120

Is there anything else I need? any other hardware or any other recommended software? Thanks (P.S I live in the UK)

GPRS is a data communication system for mobile phones and other mobile devices. It has nothing whatsoever to do with GPS, which I assume is what you are wanting.

Just buy a bundle with the software and bluetooth GPS receiver included. The new TomTom receiver is supposed to be very good. If you go trying to mix and match you'll likely end up spending more money. However I would wait for the TomTom5 bundles to be released.

All you need is that and a car kit to fit your ipaq to your windscreen.
