I have managed to get V5 working with my Fortuna Clip On with no problems.
Its worth making sure that your phones bluetooth manager has the connection to the Fortuna set as authorised.

solved it!
thanks to those who tried to help very appreciated,
but i had a thought which was the answer that i should have tried much earlier.
took the battery out of the gps unit, put it back in, turned on the gps unit and there it was! |

Hi there guys,
I'm having trouble getting TomTom Mobile 5 to work with my Fortuna ClipOn BT GPS too. I've paired it up in the phone's bluetooth manager (my phone is SPV C500), but when I set the GPS to other in the TTM5 preferences, it doesn't connect to the Fortuna. However, when I set it to TomTom Wireless GPS, the blue light flashes on the Fortuna. But still, TTM5 says "No GPS Device". What am I doing wrong?
I've tried taking the battery out like aliendad, but still the same thing. Can anyone give me detailed instructions or a link to a website with more help. Thanks!! |

I think it will always be a bit fiddly, but I had the best results, by starting the GPS first, let it get a satellite fix, then starting TomTom. 80% of the time TomTom will pick up the GPS, but when it doesn't, I go to the GPS status screen then select configure GPS, choose the "other GPS" (which is the one mine is paired to) then it usually works. |

Mine is working great with a Leadtek 9537, have heard if you change the name in your phone of the receiver to tom tom bluetooth it sometimes helps.
