Managed to hardwire my tomtom cradle in the car today

I really hate wires all over the dash, and was wondereing the best way to do it, so i popped down to Maplins, purchased a female accessory socket for 99p, and a 2m length of 2 core cable,

I have soldered the cable to the accessory socket, connected it to a switched live, and an earth, and then plugged the tomtom go car charger into the female socket, and buried it all neatly in the dash

Really does work like a charm. Tomtom switches on when i turn the car on, and powers off when i switch off. No worrying about making sure there is enough charge before i go out.

Really pleased with the end result. Cheep, and i know its not going to fry my unit
