Can anyone provide me with eather the actual software or links to where i might be able to get hold of software that is compatible with Windows CE.
Any thing will do, apps, games, etc...

The only program you can download and try is Mapopolis. They even have a special WinCE build if you ask them nicely. _________________ Lutz

What about teletype?
Also, windows ce is a generic term, which version are you reffering to? |

@mmarks: We are specifically talking about Windows CE devices as opposed to devices running Windows Mobile.
You may be able to run TeleType on Windows CE (from the looks of it it's a really old program) but who in his right mind would want to do that? _________________ Lutz

I think i have winCE 4.2 but either way,
see, i have a Navigon Transonic 4000, and i have namaged to disable the autostart up of the satnav software, and i accessed the operasting system the winCE.
So my interest was trying to see the kind of applications that i can install onto it, i tried to install some but it said it was not an winCE app.
So in reality i am realy interested if some one that already has an device with winCE and some apps that they know that are working on it, could they pass it my way so that i can test my device.
Because although i have accessed the winCE it might have some protection against installing other software.
Thank you all. |

That would be slightly illegal, and it's not necessary either - you can download the latest v4 verson from the TomTom support site. _________________ Lutz

I agree, I have no intention of placing my tomtom software on your FTP server!!!!!!
I didn't do anything special - it just works. I assume Tomtom have coded it using the compact .net framework - hance it works full screen (640x480) on ce.net 4.1 |

TomTom have definitely NOT used the .Net code. This would have slowed the application down to unusable pace. Clearly this is programmed in native code, maybe even some parts in ARM assembler. _________________ Lutz
