You won't find the explanation here on this forum since the solution is not legal. _________________ Lutz

Is it not legal if he owns a licence for both? e.g. HP PDA shipped with Navigator 2004 and he already owned a copu of TTN3 on his old PDA and chooses to install it on his new HP? _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk) |

that's a good point. However I think it's still not possible to mix the two in this way (usinge "newer" maps with the older program verson) without physically altering the executable. _________________ Lutz

you just use the "map crack", i got TT4 map working on TT3.07 works great! and i still got the postcode and speedcam software working, but the maps are still out of date, still say a road near me is open and its been closed for 4 years |

Mr W...
which files did you copy into the map folder ?
I've tried replacing all the ttn3 map files (cline, cname, cnode, faces, great_britain.mid, great_britain.pna, great-britain-map.cfg, mapinfo, poi, tmccodes and traffic) with the corresponding files from ttn4.4 but ttn3 doesn't start up. it appears to then stops
the only differences I can see are...
Great_Britain-24813ff3 file not being in ttn3
tmcpaths.bfl not being in ttn4
tmccodes file is .dat in ttn4 and .pr3 in ttn3
any help would be apreciated _________________ SW
