|
|
Hi I was hoping one of you could help me, I have a XDA 2i I have installed tomtom 4, I have a BT 338 bluetooth GPS reciever. I am having trouble getting tomtom to connect to the bt 338. I have read all the advice on this and other forums and have still had no luck. I have downgraded the gps to 2.06 and 2.07 and still had no luck. When I activate tomtom the blue L.E.D. does flash faster so I think that is set right. When I check the Activity in bluetooth connection status there is no bytes sent or recieved. I have set the port and baud rates as described in the tutorial on this forum. Could someone please give me some help ive been at this for 2 days. Thanks. |

Arey ou using other navigation programs besides TomTom? If not then you don't need to follow the article guidelines.
You should make sure that in the BlueTooth Manager of your Pocket PC you have connected to the Serial Port of the BT-338, and then in TomTOm 4 select "Other BT receiver" and pick the correct port (the outgoing serial port from your BT settings) _________________ Lutz

connected, as in - you see the two little green arrows?
InTTN4, go to Preferences >GPS status > Configure and select "Other Bluetooth receiver" there _________________ Lutz

I think it's on page 5 or 6 of the preferences sequence. Just keep tapping the arrow. _________________ Lutz

Well that's why. You don't have TomTom Navigator 4 but TomTom Navigator 3. I'd recommend you update to 3.07 and then read the article about TomTom and BT receivers, That should help. _________________ Lutz

Someone with the same device needs to confirm that COM6 is the outgoing serial port on the XDA IIi _________________ Lutz
