Hi,
I have just bought a Fortuna Clip-on and TT Nav 3.07 for my HP 4700.
1. During the TomTom set up on the PDA the Fortuna GPS is not listed on the list of hardware to connect to.
I tried setting it up as SiRF Bluetooth (and several others), but never get a GPS reading.
2. My PDA gets a signal from the Fortuna GPS no problem, set up as Clip-on BTGPS: SPP slave.
Can anyone suggest a way forward I'm dying to get on the road :D
Thanks |

Simply select NMEA standard 38400 and the outgoing serial port (can be COM5 or COM8 on your device) _________________ Lutz

Lutz,
I am currently on NMEA 0183v2 38400 ..... no joy.
I have a solid green light for satelite fix and battery, flickering blue light for communication and positive reception from the PDA
BUT
my GPS Status screen is giving me no feed back and the Tom TOm navgation is telling me 'GPS position unreliable'
I have also tried the TT wireless setting as sugested by DaveW in another post with no success. |

Hi,
Its working ...... obviously did not read enough posts before I posted.
I took the batterey off which made no difference, so I have switched to XT mode and it is all working. I will switch back to ST in a min to see if it that works now as well.
Thanks for the help.

"GPS Position unreliable" may simply mean that you are not close enough to a street in TomTom's map world. _________________ Lutz
