Have you been able to check yet whether v5 defaults to quickest when recalculating a route, or does it stick to the chosen routing option?
Many thanks |

Looks like this has been fixed. I have tested today, much to the annoyance of my copilots, because especially for longer journeys you have to be fully aware that "shortest" routes are never, ever the quickest ones.
I think the whole system of quickest/shortest is wrong. You need to have an option "Least turns/Least stops" - taking into account stop signs (millions of them in the US) and traffic lights.
But hey - the bug is fixed. _________________ Lutz

Good news. I think this will make TT a much more helpful tool in London, where the shortest route is normally better than the clogged main roads, but where deviation from the shortest route is often necessary due to road closures etc.
Many thanks |

so true so true tt3 always seems to make me go on the same route which is jam packed and when you try divert it says no alternative or adds about 3/4 miles which is no good ,also the effort to get shortest route is a pain _________________ TomTom 5001 |
