Hello, i have bought tom tom for y nokia 7610 and i purchased a polstar PBT-111 GPS receiver which is supposed to work with the nokia and tomtom

However not only can i not get the PBT-111 to pick up a GPS signal, i cannot get the phone and receiver to send data, it says they are paired but after that it doent do anything? is this because i am not picking up the GPS signal yet?

Any help for this newbie would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

the Receiver may just be DOA. Have you tried it on a PDA or BT Notebook?

I am using my Nokia 7610 with the Tomtom Go 300 and had problems with both units talking to each other. You will have to have signal in order for the two to talk to each other. I had to delete the pairing in the Nokia 7610 and My Tomtom Go 300 several times and pair them again before the two worked together.

You may also find that if you use a paired bluetooth head set at the same time as your navigator and you turn on the navigator before the headset that the headset will not connect to the phone, this is easy to sort out by turning on the headset before turning on your navigator then both devices will work together.
