My recent experience suggests one should steer well clear of Rikaline products.

I have had a 6010 for about 10 months and, over a period of about a fortnight, it gently failed, to a point now where it produces no output whatever.

Customer services ignored my first enquiry and in subsequent enquiries told me to go back to the retailer. Unfortunately I bought it in a bundle on ebay and the 'retailer' is therefore no longer accessible to me.

Unfortunately Rikaline will not take any further responsibility in my situation, saying they can't (ie won't) exchange it.

While I am at a loss to understand how a solid state device can fail in this way in the first place, I have to say if I were the manufacturer I would want to leave as few people as possible unhappy with what has to be a design or manufacturing error in this way.

Rikaline don't think like that, so you buy their products at risk of failure without exchange. DON'T BUY!

I concur with both posts. I bought my Rikaline 6010 about 6 months ago and now it has stopped working. The green LED just keeps flashing and thats all.

Confused I also bought it on ebay and as much as I would like to think I could remember who I bought it from and get some help from them, but I'm feeling pessimistic at this point.

8) I bought a Globalsat BU303 USB gps receiver 2 years or so ago that I used with my laptop and have resorted to using that again. It still works great. I think I'll buy the equivalent receiver and cableset from Globalsat to use with my IPAQ 3850 pda.

I WILL NOT be buying a Rikaline product again. Trusty Globalsat receiver has proven itself and they have operations based here in the US, so support will not be an issue methinks.

Same problem here...tried Winfast navigator to check it out but no signal received from Rikaline 6010. Got in touch with Rikaline just now and they say it is a common cable fault if the light on receiver is flashing all the time. I told him maybe internal battery is faulty but he did't think it was the problem....so, maybe it is a 'common' cable fault.
