tomtom3 ipaq 3970

i boought a package ipaq 1710 tomtom 3 etc but then sold the 1710 wiped the tomtom off and now have a ipaq 3970 with bc-307 gps in a cf jacket
with the same tomtom 3 software on i have managed to get the gps working but have to reset the gps info evey time cuz this reverts back to com1 i tried updating tomtom to 3.03 and 3.07 and this is better to reconize the gps but can not load any of the voices so i reinstalled the tomtom3 software and tried the other update for hp from tomtom this works fine to update the voices but back to not reconising the gps info every time i have to goto gps info reset all the setting then fire up tomtom then goto gps settings then and only then does it work
any help please i would like to upgrade to 3.o7 and be able to use the voices :D

Welcome to the forum. What do you mean with GPS Info? The "TomTom GPS.EXE" control applet?
