clipon and memory map

How do you get these talking to each other? the basics on an iPaq 2210

I DON'T have tomtom installed before someone haprs on about that. The clipon is added as a paired bluetooth device, in memory map it's set up as NMEA but what's the procedure???

Start bluetooth, connect then open memory map, run gps setup everytime or it just connects, or dont start bluetooth do it from memory map help?

The blue lights going on the clipon but zip...

Switching it between modes then leaving it ages....... and it eventually started finding satellites, just 1 so far, I thought these things got a pretty good fix quickly. Not so good when you have to wait 30 minutes to figure out where it is
