I have tomtom 4.40 running on a mdppc250 with a royaltek rgm2000 gps reciever now under tomtom 3 no problems but with 4.4 I just get told that no gps is connected. I have been to configure gps and have set as other cabled gps, baud rate 4800 but thats all the options I'm given it won't even let me choose the com port its on. Now am I right in saying that the rgm 2000 IS a serial gps ?
If so why does it not work?
Reinstalled tomtom 3 last night just to check gps is actually working and it immediately found me so no problem there. |

as far as I know you need to use the GPS driver from v4 (also if you want to run v3). I know that for BT receivers that's the case. Not sure if it also affects serial receivers like yours though.
Are you doing a soft reset before you start TTN4 ? Otherwise you may run into a situation where the COM port is still occupied by another program. _________________ Lutz

Hi thanks for your reply Yes am doing a soft reset but tomtom just continuasly says no gps device.
There is no option to select the com port in ver 4 is there.
I ask as lookin for answers I saw that by changing the driver to 2.07 you can select other bluetooth devices etc but I still cant c any menus for selecting com port. |
