|
|
I am new to Sat Nav and would be grateful for some help is possible.
I can't find out how to reload the software back onto my ICN 610. I contacted Navman by email, who in turn replied saying that the instructions would be to long to email, and that I should see the help on the SmartST Desktop. When I goto the help section, the index section is greyed out and there is no mention in the manual that I can find!
Can anyone help please? I would also like to know if I can change the beep sound for the speed cams to something else. I have read in one of the other forums that you can, but am unsure if the instructions apply to the ICN 610 which is running Version 3 with SP1 installed.
Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Have you tried contacting Navman by phone. You will find you get better support from them using that method (or at least that's what I've found)
As you don't say where your location is I'm not sure what the number would be, however the UK contact number is 01293 780500
Regards

Cheers for the reply AlfieB
I rang Navman as I am in the UK, and I was told to simply connect my navman back to my PC, run the SmartST desktop and the software will be re-loaded and all I have to do then is select the map data I want to re-install.
Does anyone know if this is correct as I don't want to do something wrong and trash my ICN610. |

If that's what Navman have told you to do, that 's what you should do! It won't do any harm. _________________ Tim |

Darren
If you are that worried about it, phone them back and ask them to talk you through it. I've done that in the past when I've had a problem and I've always found them obliging.
Best wishes

Cheers for that, I am oing to have a go now and if I get into trouble I will ring Navman again.
I am probably going to find one of two things, either it is pretty easy and have no problems or I encounter a problem and have to ring Navman for help.
Either way I guess it's not that big a deal (I hope!) |

I don't know what I was bothered about doing this, it was a doddle! All the data went back on in just a few minutes without any problems at all.
Thanks to those who posted replies. |
