Can a bluetooth enabled Cell Phone be used as a GPS receiver for a Bluetooth enabled PDA?

Certainly not a standard feature on any of them, but perhaps there is a hack for a particular phone or group of phones?

You can certainly write a hack to redirect the serial stream from the GPS to the BT Serial port.

If it's a WindowsCE phone like the hp hw6500 then you may even be able to do all this without any programming - all you need is GPSGate...

But this is really a bit far fetched. You are much more likely to consume the GPS stream directly on the phone.

Well, I hadnt considered a pocket PC phone i was thinking more in the nokia 60 line, as they have bluetooth and development material appear to be abundant. http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/0,6566,010_40,00.html

I am a mediocure programer so any thoughts would be appreciated.

Which Nokia Series 60's have a GPS receiver built in? Without that how do you expect to get a position location. BS triangulation is nowhere near accurate enough.
