Confused about speed camera update

I've just downloaded the updated camera database and copied the ov2 & bmp files to my e200 with 4.43. It has certainly updated the visible cameras. Interestingly some of the ones showing previously (11/04)seem to have gone! Is that right?

This is the first time that I've updated cameras so I'm a bit of a beginner here. What confuses me is that I also have .csv and .pxl camera files on the storage card which presumably hold the list of cameras. These have not been updated (still show original modified dates in Explorer). If one only needs the ov2 & bmp files, what do these other ones do? Have I done something wrong? Was I supposed to also copy the .csv files? Also was I supposed to do something with the pocketgps_uk_sc.zip file?

Have a read of the Beginner’s guide to the PocketGPSWorld camera database. Hopefully that should explain things a bit more. If it doesn’t then please let us know. Thumbs Up

It is possible that some of the cameras in previous databases will be removed. As cameras are reported that are no longer there these will be removed from the database over time.

All you need for a TomTom system is the ov2 and bmp files the others are to enable other users of Navigation Systems to have the same facilities as you.
