Pharos360 with an iPAQ 4155

Greetings,

I'm trying to connect a Pharos 360 that came with Microsoft Streets and Tips to my iPAQ 4150, but can't seem to make it work. I bought cables specifically for this purpose. When I connect the Pharos to my laptop no problems. But when I connect (with cable) to my pda it can never find a signal. I have tried to configure it to all of the com ports available, but for all I still get a message that it can't find a signal. So I'm not sure where to go from here. Is there an order of events, that is what should be connected first then next and so on? I'm sure that the Pharos is on when I hook every thing up, so I really think that the problem is somehow in the configuration of the pda. Any ideas of what to try next.
