Recording a new POI

I am using TT3, an Axim X50 and CheckPoint 2.0.2.0 as recommended by your goodselves for your camera data base.
Under the "general settings" tab of CheckPoint I have selected Button 3, calendar, for recording a New POI. Yesterday I went past a camera not in your database and accordingly pressed the callendar button but all that happened was that my calendar opened and my next appointment appeared. There was no recording of my position as far as I could see. What am I doing wrong, or did it record somewhere? Where would I find the recorded POI? Is it recorded as Longditude and Lattitude?

I had to go into the buttons menu in settings and dissable them first, before I could use one of them to record new POI's
