|
|
Morning all, this is my first post as I am new to PDA's and GPS. Enjoying searching the forum and finding answers to a few questions but can't find an answer to this problem. I have downloaded the speed camera database, unzipped the files and transferred the ov2 and bmp files to my maps folder on the storage card but the camera POI's don't show as options in my POI's list. I have also downloaded and transferred CheckPoint. Off to Lowestoft tomorrow along the notorious A14 so any help would be much appreciated. I have an iPaq RX3715, TT3 v3.07 and ActiveSync v3.7.1 (build 4034). Have tried reinstalling the camera database and performing a soft reset of my iPaq but still no good.
Many thanks
Nick. |

You seem to have done all of the right things. I would have expected the soft reset to have sorted your problem.
Can you see the pocketgps_uk_*.ov2 and pocketgps_uk_*.bmp files, in the same folder as the map that you use for navigating, if you use Explorer on your PocketPC? _________________ Various TomToms, Garmin eTrex Legend, GPSMAP 60CSx, Oregon 550t, Forerunner 405 |

Thanks for your reply. Yes, using file explorer, I can see the ov2 and bmp files in the same folder as the GB maps on my storage card.

If you start TTN and tap Files > Properties... > POI tab
Can you see the names "pocketgps uk gatso" etc when you scroll down the screen? _________________ Various TomToms, Garmin eTrex Legend, GPSMAP 60CSx, Oregon 550t, Forerunner 405 |

No, the Pocketgps etc POIs aren't listed at all. A bit of a mystery, must have done something wrong but just can't seem to see what. I'm away for a few days now so won't be able to do anymore for a while. Will have another "fiddle" with things when I'm back and let you know how I get on.
Many thanks

I have an Ipaq rx3715 with TomTom Navigator 3.07 installed.
I installed CheckPOInt on the PDA, downloaded the latest speed camera database, copied the .OV2 & .BMP file to the GB maps folder on my storage card. When I started CheckPOInt, I got an error stating that there were no valid .OV2 files installed.
Are there any issues with the rx3715 and CheckPOInt and the speed camera files?
Regards.
Andy
