TomTom Go Frozen

Hi!

Having updated to v5.00 I then decided to change the voice file (data.chk) for the speed camera voice options. When I unplugged from the PC I had the usual TomTom splash screen with the red hands but unfortunately this is all I have. The device has frozen and I cannot even turn it off. Removing the card makes no difference.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

this happened to me when upgrading to V5. I had to reset the TTG using the reset button underneath.

I then started again, after formatting the SD card and all worked OK

Thanks for the info. I did this and it un-froze my TTG. I then did what I should have done before starting this and read all the advice on this forum about the voice files and v5.00. As most people already know the old data.chk file does not work properly with the new software version. You need to use a new data.chk file (v.4109). All working fine again now.
