There is now a link from TomTom's home page to the Plus page, where you can now subscribe to their Safety Camera database.

I think €69.95 per year is a little high considering what you get from this very site for £0.00
I expect some users will be happy to pay for the service although it will be interesting to see how complete and accurate their database actually is. _________________ Ian.

these facts appear a little strange:
Key features:
* Most up-to-date and complete set around, updated regularly
* Completely legal
* All sites checked and verified by TomTom field surveyors
* Sorted by speed limit and completely integrated in navigation view
* No additional antennas or devices needed
* Warns as you approach a danger hotspot
ALL site checked by TT field surveyors - is this Teleatlas or tomtom employee's - can't see how they can have verified all of them - especially since they want users to report missing ones (will they pay a finders fee)?
Also the most up-to-date (only if they update every week)?
£50 per year!
Don't think so.
Surely a better service to loyal customers would be a link to the database on this site rather than try to take further funds from people.
I hope they haven't nabbed the database from here!

And no mention of how this works with TomTom V3, I'm assuming that it is specific V5. If you subscribe today there appears no why to use the system. They should have released the application/upgrade first and then the service, or both together...
And like others have said £50 mmmm, maybe they will do discount packs ie subscribe to Traffic & Speed cameras and get one other service free. |

They will still get people subscribing to the service. Not everyone who owns TomTom products will know about pocketgps or want to learn how to install the camera database. |
