My IPAQ 1945 drops the connection to my Rikaline 6030 GPS receiver after 2 minutes 20 seconds. I have the device paired, the inbound COM port is 5 and the Outbound is COM port 8. The GPS LED's indicate that it has established its position but the status window shows the connection dropped after 2 mins.I have been using TomTom3 software and have tried deleting the TomTom~ GPS file. I have been trying to get this running for 6 weeks now with no luck! Anyone help? |

You are specifying COM8 and 38400, right? What TomTom GPS driver version? (The TomTom GPS driver is known to hijack the BT ports) _________________ Lutz

Thanks for all the advice on this site. Got it working after 6 weeks trying. The problem was resolved by first copying all my TomTom3 files onto my Desk top PC. Next I have substituted the GPS file ttgps206_arm file from your website for the gps.ppc3_arm file from my original TomTom3 software. After replacing this file I have renamed the file I copied from you "gps.ppc3_arm". This has allowed me to reset the COm port to 8. After running Bluetooth manager I immediateky saw that data was being transferred in the status window. Success!!!
Many thanks. :D :D |
