Set-up problems between XDAII, Fortuna clip-on & Destina

I am having trouble setting up my new system - please help!

Does anyone have any experience of the compatability of all or some of this hardware/software combination?

The clip-on seems to bond with the XDAII (the blue light on the clip-on flickers when the XDAII is in search mode and it shows up in my bonded device list) but the blue light doesnt remain on. Should it or will it only when the software is run and acting as a go-between?

When I run PowerLOC Destinator (version 2.1.19A) and run the GPS autosearch it goes through all of its available COM port and Baud rate options and the clip-on blue light does again flicker, but it cant actually find the gps unit. The COM ports that it searchs are 1,2,7,8,9.

When I look in the Bluetooth settings in my XDAII the inbound COM port is COM4 and the outbound is COM5 - there doesnt seem to be a way of changing these.

Do I need another bit of patch software or am I missing something obvious? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
